The Cottage
Wood, stone and polished concrete โ a living home shaped with care.
Wood, a way of life
Lalalandes is a house that Pierre built with his own hands, year after year. Every beam, every plank, every detail tells a story. Natural materials โ oak, cedar, Douglas fir, polished concrete, stone โ create a warm and authentic atmosphere, far from standardised interiors.
Heart of the home
High-ceilinged and bathed in natural light, the large living room opens onto the terrace and the forest. The wood-burning stove is the centrepiece of group life โ board game evenings, reading, conversations that stretch late into the night.

- Deep sofas, cushions, throw blankets
- Exposed oak beams
- Direct access to the covered terrace and Nordic bath

Built by hand, with love
Pierre built Lalalandes alone, over several years. This is not a lodge designed by an architect to maximise return on investment. It is a house shaped by someone who lives in it, who knows it in its every corner, and who wants guests to feel it that way.
- Local Douglas fir timber frame
- Natural insulation (hemp, cork)
- Bespoke locally crafted joinery
- Rainwater harvesting
- Solar panels for hot water
